A native of Los Angeles, mezzo-soprano Ariana Stultz received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from Bard College and received her Masters in Vocal Arts and Opera at the University of Southern California this spring.

With a confident stage presence and voluminous tonal quality, she brings the vitality of her singular personality to every role.

Ms. Stultz has an incredible interest in contemporary work and collaboration with today's composers. She just finished performing at New Music on the Point in Vermont, where she studied with Tony Arnold, The Jack Quartet, and members of Roomful of Teeth. Beyond her contemporary interests, Ms. Stultz has performed numerous other operatic leading roles, including Bradamante in Handel's Alcina, Ursule in Berlioz's Beatrice et Benedict, Hansel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel in association with the Hudson Opera Theater, Niña in Golijov's Ainadamar, covering the role of Antonia at the Aspen Music Festival and School in Bolcom's A Wedding, Sesto in Mozart's La clemenza di Tito, Orfeo in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice, Nicklausse in Offenbach's Les contes d'Hoffmann, and Ruggiero as a cover role in Handel's Alcina.

Ms. Stultz is the winner of multiple prestigious awards, including Bard College Music Department's 2014 Concerto Competition, and the winner of Bard's Paul J. Pacini Prize in Music. Most recently she was a recipient of the Opera Buffs Scholarship Grant, performing at Zipper Hall at The Colburn School in the fall of 2017. Ms. Stultz co-founded her own summer choir program in 2013 in Santa Monica, and has also taught and directed student recitals for elementary students whilst at Bard College.

As well as having her own private studio, Ms. Stultz currently teaches voice and piano at The Conservatory of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. She also is a visual artist and painter, ranging from oil on canvas to website logos for companies.  She loves to dance and make dresses, and adores succulent plants.
